Engineering for teams and founders who want to actually ship.

Most agencies hand you a deck or a dependency. I hand you working software: fast prototypes to get moving, AI woven in where it earns its place, rescue work when something has gone sideways, and the engineering to make it hold up in production. Here’s how I can help.

01

Rapid Prototyping & MVPs

Get a real, working product in front of people, fast.

A working prototype beats a pitch deck every time. I build quick, affordable MVPs that turn an idea into something people can actually use, so you can show investors, test with real users, or just find out whether the thing is worth building before you commit to a full one. Especially useful if you are a non-technical founder who needs a technical partner to get to version one.

  • A working, clickable product, not mockups
  • Honest, scoped build plan
  • Deployed and shareable from day one
  • A clear path from prototype to production
02

AI Integration

Put models to work inside your product and your team.

We start by finding the workflows where AI earns its keep, then I build them against your real data and systems, not a sample dataset. LLMs, retrieval, and agents wired in with evals and guardrails, so you ship something that holds up with real users instead of something that only works in the demo.

  • Opportunity audit & prioritized roadmap
  • LLM, retrieval, and agent implementation
  • Evaluation harness & guardrails
  • Integration with your existing stack
03

AI Code Rescue

Clean up the mess the AI tools left behind.

No-code builders and AI coding tools get you most of the way, then leave you with a tangle that is risky to change and slow to extend. I make sense of what is there and turn it into a codebase you can actually build on: readable, tested, and stable, without throwing away the work that already got you somewhere. The goal is a foundation you can trust and keep building on.

  • Audit of the existing codebase & its risks
  • Refactor into a maintainable structure
  • Tests and guardrails so it stops breaking
  • Documentation so your team can own it
04

Automation & Workflows

Take the repetitive work off your team’s plate.

The manual, repetitive parts of a workflow are usually where software pays for itself first. I map the process end to end, find the steps that quietly eat hours, and build the internal tools, pipelines, and assistants that handle them, with a human kept in the loop on the calls that actually need judgment.

  • End-to-end process mapping
  • Internal tools & assistants
  • Data & API pipelines
  • Human-in-the-loop checkpoints
05

Engineering & Architecture

A principal engineer and architect who ships, not just advises.

I have spent almost two decades building scalable web apps and distributed systems. Whether you need the infrastructure behind a new feature stood up or an existing system hardened before it buckles, I write the production code myself, and leave it documented and understandable so your team can own it after I am gone.

  • Full-stack development
  • Cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP)
  • Architecture & code review
  • Team enablement & clean handoff
06

Advisory & Support

A principal engineer and architect in your corner, ongoing.

Not every problem needs a full build. Sometimes you need a second set of senior eyes, or someone to keep things running after launch. I offer fractional technical leadership, code and architecture reviews, hands-on AI enablement for your team, and ongoing maintenance, scoped to what you actually need rather than a fixed retainer you have to justify.

  • Fractional CTO / technical advisory
  • Code & architecture review
  • Team AI enablement & training
  • Ongoing maintenance & support
How I work

A simple, honest process.

01

Discover

We start with your goals and constraints, not a list of tools to adopt. I map where software, and AI specifically, creates real leverage, and just as importantly where it does not, so we invest effort where it pays off.

02

Prototype

A focused proof of concept on your actual problem, enough to prove the value is real and the approach is feasible before either of us commits to a full build.

03

Build

Production-grade implementation with tests, monitoring, and documentation, integrated into your stack and your team’s workflow, built to handle real load rather than a demo.

04

Hand off

Your team leaves able to run and extend what we built, with the docs and walkthroughs to do it. No black boxes, and no quiet dependency on me to keep the lights on.

FAQ

Common questions.

What does LunaByte do?

LunaByte is my site; the work is just me, Luna Lamb. I build, integrate, and rescue production software for companies and founders: rapid prototypes and MVPs, AI integration, AI code rescue, automation and workflows, and engineering and architecture.

Who is Luna Lamb?

I'm Luna Lamb, a founder, principal engineer and architect, product owner, and marketer with nearly two decades shipping production systems. I write the code that ships and work with clients directly, and I have founded, built, and taken my own products to market, so I am accountable for outcomes, not just deliverables.

Can you fix a codebase built with AI or no-code tools?

Yes. AI code rescue is a core service. I take prototypes and apps built with AI assistants or no-code tools that have stalled or gone fragile, and make them reliable, secure, and maintainable in production, without throwing away the work that got you this far.

Do you actually use AI, or is it just a buzzword?

I use AI where it earns its place and tell you when it does not. SimplifyLocal, for example, uses Anthropic's Claude inside the product to generate brand-voice content, behind guardrails and a human review step. The goal is real leverage, not a buzzword on your roadmap.

What kinds of clients do you work with?

Companies and founders who want working software, not a slide deck: non-technical founders who need a technical partner to reach version one, teams adding AI to a product, and businesses that need a stalled or AI-built codebase rescued and taken to production.

How do I work with you, and are you available?

I work remotely with clients worldwide and am currently open for work. Tell me what you are building through the contact page. If I am the right fit, I will tell you how I would approach it; if I am not, I will point you somewhere better.
